Health Visitors deliver family centred public health to the community and are linked to primary care through GP practices.
They deliver child health programmes which include health needs assessment and screening allowing a proactive approach to identifying need.
They work in partnership with parents and carers to provide support, information and advice on a range of health and social topics.
Health Visitors work with both individuals and groups on various issues including healthy living, postnatal depression, parenting, smoking cessation. These sessions are provided in a variety of settings including Children’s Centres or the client’s home.
Safeguarding children is a central role to Health Visiting so Health Visitors can offer advice and support to other professionals regarding any concerns they might have.
Monday to Friday: 09.00 to 17.00
