The Waterside Education Centre is a KS4 provision for young people aged 14-16 who are within their last two years of statutory education.  Here they are given the opportunity to work towards their final examinations, take part in work experience, work-related learning and activities to aid raising their self-esteem.

The pupils are taught in 3 small tutor groups.  As in all the centres, expectations of pupils in respect of their learning are high.  Pupils will have the opportunity to study English, Maths and Science at GCSE.  Art, Drama and English Literature is also offered.  All pupils will be able to study for a qualification in ICT, Preparation for Working Life and Youth Award.
