About

Torquay Child Contact Centre is a safe meeting place where children of separated relationships can maintain contact and enjoy the company of their absent parent or other relative.

It is located in Central Church in the centre of Torquay close to Castle Circus and the Town Hall. The distance from the train station is approximately three quarters of a mile and from the main coach station a half mile. Parking of vehicles in Morgan Avenue is limited to one hour, therefore anyone travelling by car should enquire at the Centre about the most appropriate places to park.
The rooms provided for this purpose contain many and various toys and games for children of all ages. Drinks and biscuits are available at nominal charge. There is a room for contact with toddlers and babies with changing facilities. A second room is available for older children.  A patio area outside each room can be used when weather permits. If parents do not wish to meet when handing over a child, there are facilities to manage this. There is a telephone line during sessions for incoming calls and emergencies.
The hours of opening are from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. every Saturday and on the first Saturday in each month until 3.30 p.m. by prior arrangement. This is particularly useful for those visitors who live some distance from the Centre.
